Communication
We want to ensure that communication is clear all the way up until the event takes place. We will institute several check in points that we will require you adhere to.
Initial Invite will take place 2-3 weeks before event takes place
Check in point 1: The week of the event
Check in Point 2: Friday before the event takes place
Check in Point 3: The morning of the event (At Least 2 hours before takes place)
Check in Point 4: You’re on your way.
Check in Point 5: You have arrived and are onsite.
(Should an unexpected event occur and you’re forced to cancel- please do your very best to secure a back up/replacement as its nearly impossible for us to find a replacement with such short notice)
3. Filming
Position: Center Court on the sideline or in the bleachers if available.
Make sure you capture the whole action from both teams on both sides of the court.
Hero shot (zooming in/out) of a player when a shot is made.
Be present and focus on the game- avoid distractions.
At the beginning of each game- put your hand in front of your camera to indicate the game number.
At the onset of each game- the players will stand to the backs of the camera so you’re able to film each of their jersey numbers so we know who’s in each game.
Player introductions: Depending on the director, they may require that you film the player intros at the onset of the event- You’ll record just a quick intro - player will provide name, jersey number, and position- to help us better identify them in the footage.
4. Delivery of Footage
Your footage needs to be delivered to us within 72 hours following the event.
Our preference is that you render the clips together so that each game is one fluid clip. If you’re unable to do this, then we prefer that you at least organize the clips in a folder to indicate which clips go with which game.
If you prefer to mail your SD cards, we will reimburse for postage and return your SD cards once we download the footage. We will require that you provide us with a tracking number.
For Uploading footage- we will share our google suite drive link and you will be required to upload to this platform.
5. Payments
Arrival and Departure times: Ensure that you record both your arrival and departure times as this will be how we determine what is due.
A deposit will be sent once confirmed hire before event and remaining balance will be sent once we confirm receipt of all footage has been reviewed by our team after uploading the footage. (We prefer that you have a paypal account as it simplifies the process but can also make arrangements through venmo or cashapp)
You will be hired as a 1099 contractor. Unless you make more than $600 this year, 2024, you won’t be receiving any tax forms.
The pay rate will be based on the event you are shooting for and discussed before hire.
The pay rate can be deducted if videographer doesn't perform the task at hand.
